What a pleasure it was to host a discussion luncheon at Charlotte’s Legendary with Professor Rick Mayes and his class from the University of Richmond this past Monday. It was truly an honor!
UPDATE! We at Charlotte’s Legendary Lobster Pound much appreciate your interest in our story. I wish to add that copious testing backed our experimentation. In order to add some viewable proof to our evidential pudding, (as so many questions seem to surround whether or not it actually works). In the near future, we will make available side by side video comparisons , (most likely on our website), showing the PROFOUND difference our cannabis practice makes for the lobster. The footage will show the entire experiment from start to finish, in conjunction with the addition of a non-treated lobster, (in the same test situation), with all other variables remaining the same less the induction of cannabis. We will then replicate the entire process two more times. In order to show the entire experiment repeated a total of three times with 6 different lobsters, with no lids on the cooking devices. We hope that by doing so, it is then possible for any question or doubt about the validity of this practice to be laid to rest on a world stage, before production begins next month. Although we see a certain morbidity in the viewing of such material, we also believe it to be important. I personally hope that with the airing of the footage people will further continue these discussions about the importance of incorporating cannabis into any practice where animals are part of a food cycle. Even though lobsters in the eyes of some are considered the “least of these”, it is our belief that ALL life is sacred. Until the day comes that the world moves to a place of practice where no life is taken at all, we suggest looking at these options with the idea of incorporation into other arenas were animals are part of the food chain. My belief, is that if we are going to take a life, we owe it to those we are taking it from that it be done in the most compassionate way possible. FULL-STEAM AHEAD! Hello all, this is Charlotte of Charlotte’s Legendary Lobster Pound and the official home of the “high-end”, lobster. Here is an update in order to dispel any disinformation on the subject. We were contacted by the state and ASKED not to move forward, (not commanded), based on the lack of legislature in these areas, as well as their issue with the usage of personal medicinal marijuana on a lobster instead of the intended card carrying, (human), recipient. However; that discussion has since allowed Charlotte’s Legendary and others to diligently scour Maine’s various laws and codes that pertain to both the restaurant as well as the practice itself. That said, we are currently in the process of implementing, (as well as entertaining a few practical adjustments), that we are COMPLETELY confident will bring us into undeniable compliance with not only the state, but also any other associated issues that may arrive in the future. We are not currently selling this meat, (nor have we). The lobster that we have prepared thus far was purely for our own testing and study as well as to be able to have a conclusive base of information to work from when we were eventually met with these questions. The reports saturating the media that our “high-end”, lobster was or has ever been available by customer request, are incorrect. In fact, it’s production for the public, was not even supposed to begin until late November. However, due to all the interest, we have now decided to move the date up, and expect to offer the lobster for public sale by mid to late October. Another important note is that we are not charging for this process, and our lobster prices will stay the same as they have always been, or perhaps even go down if enough volume is generated, as ultimately, we are doing this out of compassion for the lobsters and THEIR well-being, not our own. In conclusion, ultimately, we would like to work with the state. We are friend not foe. Not the opposition. Only a little group of hardworking Mainers trying to make the world a kinder place. Good News & Greetings from Charlotte, of Charlotte’s Legendary Lobster Pound, the official home of the “high end” lobster. 🙏🏻 After being contacted by the state, and upon reviewing its present laws and codes applicable to this arena, (and then making a few minor adjustments to our procedure), we are completely confident that we will be able to proceed as planned. 👍🙂 Keep in mind this meat is presently not available, and we don’t expect it to be for a little while longer under the circumstances. However; we will make absolutely sure we have all our ducks, (lobsters??? 😂), in a PERFECT row before it is. Soon though. VERY soon.
